Terrible Two's... HA!

Colton at 2 was a pure delight.  A pleasure to be around.  Almost at all times.

3 years old....well, not so much.  Certainly not a pleasure at all times.

His favorite things to drive me batty....
  • "It's not funny!"  Used primarily when he is angry and he is convinced someone is laughing at him.
  • Throwing items when he gets annoyed that said item isn't doing what he thinks it should.  Like, say he is losing at a game on sister's iPod....
  • NEVER naps.  Has quiet time in his room for an hour or so everyday.  Time he takes to make sure his room is as messy as it can possibly be.

A few funny things right now (that aren't neccessarily 3 year old "problems")
  • He still pretends NO STOP.  It actually exhausts my brain at times.  He loves being a superhero whether it is Batman, Spiderman, or a Power Ranger (the green one).  He loves to be animals.  And he loves to pretend he is a video game and I have to hold a imaginary controller and play him.
  • He is a homebody.  I am not sure if he would ever want to leave the house.  A few days ago he even locked himself in the bathroom to avoid leaving that morning.  Once he is out and wherever it is we are going, he is fine!  It's the leaving the house part he hates.

And, yeah, yeah, yeah, I am sure I will miss these days one day....

*I chose these pictures so that as I complain a little I am reminded that he is still cute.  And in this Batman costume he got for Halloween he is the cutest.  Seriously, my heart stops a little every time he puts it on.

52 Week Photo Challenge Week 38

For the first time since May, we took a quick weekend to head out to Noonie and Poppie's in Cibilo.  Pizza at Catalano's, an absolute must, some picture taking as seen here, mani's and pedi's, and lots of relaxing!  Very sad it was so quick, but sometimes quick forces you to slow down to enjoy it more!

Here are a couple pictures snapped of my cute kiddos!

Meet Jack

This is Jack.
His eyes really aren't crazy eyes outside of this blog!

Jack is Bobbie's son.

Jack's mommy asked me if I was willing to try to take his 6 month pictures, and I said yes!

We had fun!

Jack liked this.

I DID NOT brighten these eyes one bit in this pic!  This is all him!

Then we asked Jack to do this.

Jack did not like this.

The End.

52 Week Photo Challenge Week 37

My son's self portraits.  This is what happens when the 3 year old has your phone on the way to San Antonio.  Well, this and apparently adding ALL your music onto your running play list.

No big deal you think....you try running 6 miles to "Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel".

My Cheering Squad

No one will cheer for you quite like family.  I see this regularly in the way my family views my photography skills!

My grandmother asked me to photograph her and her husband this past weekend.  Here are a few of my favorites!

And, yes, I know she looks 40 ;)  I am praying that God blesses me with the same genes!

52 Week Photo Challenge Week 36

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) has kicked off it's 2012-2013 year.  I am co-coordinating this year and am pretty excited about this year and next!

Our first meeting was Friday, and we started off with a craft.  We learned how to make the very trendy deco mesh wreathes.  So easy (once you figured it out!) and so cute!  I am getting a jump start on my Christmas decorations!
