Camping...again

After about 8 months of having our camper, we decided it was time to take Rusty's sister Wendi and her family and their mom out for a weekend.  They all grew up camping (with a pop up also) so we knew it would be a fun walk down memory lane for them all.  We also knew that if we were packing in to the camper together, we were going to look like a clown car everymorning!  5 adults and 5 kids!  Our camper has 2 king sized beds and 2 fulls so we really did have enough room for everyone, it just looked comical!

We spent 2 nights at Lake Livingston State Park and all had a great time!  As always, bike rides, walking trails, s'mores and hot dog roasts were on the agenda.  Kyle (6) was also able to enjoy some "big kid" time with the girls riding and exploring while the little ones hung out back at the campsite.  He LOVED that!

Jadyn and Rylee climbing the tower is a must with every trip here!
Kyle climbing the "tower" to look out over the water.

We also had ice cream water side.  Excuse the fact there is no picture of the actual lake :)  I didn't get the camera out quick enough to catch Jadyn eating her ice cream, but here she is with the evidence on her face still.

As usual, Rylee can't take a picture without a silly face.

And, a sweet picture with Nana and 5 of her 7 grandkids.

I think everyone had a great time.  Rusty came home sick so I am sure he didn't enjoy it as much as he normally does, but I am sure we will have the opportunity to try again someday!

We also had a visitor hang out with us Saturday afternoon.

This little fellow was certainly comfortable with people! I  have no doubt had we actually tried to hand feed him, he would have done it.  Cute, but also a little creepy how close he wanted to hang out with us!

Thanks Kaiser family for hanging out with us this weekend!

  1. That's probably one of the best pictures of Nana & the kids. How did that happen? Cute pics of the kiddos. Wish we could have been there too, although, I think Rusty would have kicked us out!!!
